About

I’m Mauri. I build software systems, end to end.

Portrait of Mauri Ruiz

Software engineer from Mallorca, living in Palma. I’ve built production software since 2019 — for clients, as a founding engineer, as a founder, and now as a platform engineer at WebBeds.

The job is always the same: take a fuzzy problem, work out what needs to exist, and build it so it keeps working. Outside work: Rust, performance, game engines and AI agents.

How I work

Own the whole problem

Architecture, code, deployment and operations.

Simple systems

Boring technology where it counts. Easy to reason about at 3 a.m.

Product first

Why before how. Ship the smaller thing that works.
